The sciatic nerve is a large nerve that travels down the back of the leg to the bottom of the foot. It starts at the spine at the level of the low back and has many branches. Irritation of the sciatic nerve is commonly referred to as "sciatica". The symptoms of sciatica include sharp pain, numbness, tingling or burning pain in the back of the legs. Weakness in the legs can also be seen.
Sciatic nerve irritation can take several forms. One of the more serious causes of sciatica is direct nerve compression or impingement from a disc bulge or herniated disc. Treatment to eliminate sciatica should include methods that painlessly remove this compression without drugs, injections or surgery – such as DRX9000 Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression.

Non-Surgical DRX9000 Disc Decompression provides relief to sciatica sufferers by gently removing pressure on the sciatic nerve. The bones of the spine are gently separated using DRX9000 Spinal Decompression equipment. This separation slowly reduces the pressure within the disc (intradiscal pressure) until a vacuum is formed. This vacuum "sucks" the Disc Bulge or Herniated Disc back into the disc. A series of Spinal Disc Decompression treatments can significantly reduced the size of the disc protrusion leading to elimination of nerve compression. This "sucking" vacuum also pulls vital oxygen and nutrients into the injured and degenerated discs allowing the healing to begin.
