WHAT TO EXPECT?

During your first visit, you will be spend 45-60 minutes with your physical therapist performing a thorough evaluation to determine where you may have muscle strengths, weaknesses; range of motion, flexibility and joint mobility impairments and balance and proprioceptive deficits. A treatment plan, specific to your body, your injury and your goals will be developed. Treatment will incorporate a combination of a variety of hands-on, manual therapy treatments, as well as a thorough therapeutic exercise program.

Manual treatment methods can include but are not limited to soft tissue massage, joint mobilizations, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques and taping techniques. Therapuetic exercises are tailored specifically to each patient, and can involve the use of exercise balls, functional exercise, balance equipment, pilates and yoga equipment, and education in a home program.

While many other physical therapy clinics have patients receive the bulk of their treatments from support staff, all of our patients receive individualized care directly from a licensed physical therapist. We will be consistently re-assessing your progress in physical therapy and are dedicated to working with you to help you achieve the best possible outcome for your recovery and independence.
